The Molinón Stadium is the venue for the home games of Real Sporting de Gijón. It can seat 30,000 spectators. Its name makes reference to a large water mill (molino) that was once located near the structure. The first mention of a game in El Molinón appeared in the local El Comercio newspaper on May 20, 1908, making it Spain’s oldest stadium.
