Las Letronas is one of the city’s most representative sculptures. These red letters with the city’s name is one of Gijón’s most photographed spots.
The red letters are 3 to 3.5 metres tall and weigh almost 10 tonnes. They are the work of Juan Jareño and are located in the Jardines de la Reina, opposite Banco Urquijo, next to the marina. They offer marvellous views of both Palacio Revillagigedo and Cimavilla.
